Be sure to identify all of your sources: cite and link. Knowing where the information came from and having easy access to it is often as important as the information itself.
1. Find and post a link to the entire play online (and in German).
2. Find and post a picture of Karl Walser's set design for the 1906 (premiere) German production (directed by Max Reinhardt).
3. Find and post a picture of and information about the ill-fated 1917 production of the play in NYC.
4. Find and post the lede (opening paragraph) of a review of the musical after it moved to Broadway. (A review from the New York Times would be ideal.) Be sure to credit reviewer, cite and link.
5. In what ways was the Broadway production different from its off-Broadway predecessor?
6. Find and post facts about a performance of the national tour of the musical that you might be attend this year: where, when, host venue, ticket price range, etc.
7. Is the musical available for amateur production? Who owns/controls the rights? (Hint: refer to the licensing info on your library handout.)
8. Find and post the most notable paragraph of an essay/review/letter to the editor condemning Spring Awakening (either the play or the musical) for moral reasons.
9. Which English translation of the play has been produced most often in America during the past 30 years? (Hint: Bond, Bentley, Franzen)
10. Find and post links to the "best" online videos of the musical.
